Create a new order
Learn to enter a new order in the order form, step by step from customer to product.
Goals and why
What you will learn
- open the order form from any page
- fill in the five steps: customer, tasks, goods, time and product
- check that the addresses have been found on the map
- where the order ends up when you save it
How to get there
- Click the plus sign at the top right. The order form opens.
- You can also click Orders in the top menu and choose New.
- The shortcut is Alt+N (Mac: Ctrl+Option+N).
The order form is where you enter a new job for a customer. The order is the basis for everything that happens later. The addresses drive the map and the route. The goods lines show how much space the order needs in the vehicle. The product creates the price lines that end up as the invoice.
The more precisely you fill it in, the less someone has to fix later.

The order form has five steps. Click a step to see what you fill in there.
Start typing the customer name, and the system suggests matches from the customer register. Contact person, addresses and price agreements come along.
Customer not found? “Add another” fetches the company details from the Brønnøysund Register Centre.
Choose the order type (Transport is the usual one) and enter the pickup and delivery address. Previously used addresses fill in with one click, and the house icon inserts the customer’s own address.
Green pin: valid position. Red pin: the address needs geocoding. Add more stops with “New address”.
Register the goods as lines with count, type, weight and volume. Then the system can work out vehicle capacity and calculate the right price.
Pickup after is the earliest pickup time, and Deliver before is the deadline. These are the times you plan and sort by on the dispatcher screen.
Choose the product that fits the job. If the customer has a price agreement, the right price is fetched automatically. The price lines become the invoice basis when the order is done.
Click “Add Order” to save.

All correct completes the lesson- New customer from the order form: "Add new" fetches company details from the Brønnøysund Register. Nice to show in a demo.
- Projects are chosen in the Customer step after the customer is selected. Important for customers who invoice per project.
