Goals and why

What you will learn

  • select several orders in the order list and open the «Selected orders» menu
  • move times, change service type or vehicle type and park many orders at once
  • read the check that shows which orders will be changed and which are blocked
  • cancel orders correctly, and find and restore a cancelled order

A customer cancels a whole day, a truck breaks down, or the times have to move. Opening the orders one by one takes a long time. With the bulk actions you make the same change to all the selected orders in one go.

In Frakt24 an order is never deleted for good. Both Delete in the order view and Cancel orders in the list cancel the order. It disappears from the lists and is not invoiced, but its history stays, and you can bring it back.

Key terms

Selecting ordersYou click the order number in the order list. Selected orders turn orange, and another click removes the selection.
Selected ordersThe orange button at the bottom that shows how many orders you have selected, and opens the menu with the bulk actions.
Will be changed / BlockedThe check in the panel before you change anything: blocked orders are skipped, with an explanation of why.
CancelThe order is marked as cancelled, its planning and bookings are removed, and it is not invoiced. Delete in the order view does the same.
Restore / uncancel orderThe button you get when you open a cancelled order, which makes the order active again.
Merge ordersCombines the selected orders into one new order and cancels the old ones, when the option is turned on in the settings.

  • Delete in the order view and Cancel orders do the same thing in the code: the order is marked as cancelled. Orders are never permanently deleted. Support cases about a «deleted order» are solved with Reports → Orders → Deleted and Restore / uncancel order.
  • Merge orders only appears in the menu when the «Allow merge orders» setting is on (needs module 32, multiple addresses on the order). It creates a new order and cancels the old ones. The orders must have the same customer and project, be normal orders, and not be parked, cancelled or assigned. The test tenant does not have the option.
  • The resource calendar has its own Select menu with Move times, Change parkedstatus, Withdraw orders and Cancel orders, among others. The driver panel has Withdraw orders for orders that have been sent, and that is where you withdraw before cancelling.
