Goals and why

What you will learn

  • what each of the twelve most common tabs contains
  • where you enter company details, bank account and accounting setup
  • where you set the defaults for orders, goods and the driver app
  • why the invoice start number, KID format and export format must be planned

How to get there

  1. Click Settings in the top menu.
  2. Choose Client settings.
  3. If you cannot see the menu item, or it has a padlock, you lack access. Ask your administrator.

The Client settings are your company's basic setup in Frakt24. They decide how the system behaves for all users. Good defaults save the dispatchers work on every order. The right accounting setup makes the invoices land correctly in accounting.

You can change most settings at any time, but three must be planned. Once the first invoices exist, the invoice start number can only move the number series forward. If you change the KID format, payments can stop matching automatically. If you change the export format, you must always test an export. Also remember that fields and switches are only saved when you press Save.

Key terms

Company detailsThe company's name, organisation number, address, contact details and bank. Used on waybills, invoices and emails.
Accounting export formatThe choice of how the invoices are sent to the accounting system: as a file or directly, and in which format.
Invoice start numberThe number the invoice series starts at. You open the field with the lock button. Once invoices exist, only a number higher than the highest invoice works.
KIDThe payment reference on the invoice. It is built from the parts you choose, for example customer number and invoice number. It requires an OCR agreement with the bank, and the option only shows when the company's country is Norway.
DefaultsThe values new orders, drivers and web users start with. You can change them where they are used.
SaveThe button that saves all the tabs at once. Fields and switches are only saved when you press Save.

The screenshots above show one tab at a time, with the settings that matter most. Below you can try the client settings yourself in an interactive walkthrough.

All correct completes the lesson
Answer all correctly to complete the lesson You see which answers are wrong, and you can try as many times as you like. This lesson counts towards the level 1 badge in Administrator: 0 of 4 complete.
1. Where do you enter the company's bank account, so it appears on the invoices?

2. Why must the KID format be planned?

3. The goods fields for weight and volume don't show on the order. Where do you look first?

4. Where do you decide which permissions a new driver gets in the app?

5. You have changed the export format. What do you do before the next invoice run?

6. You have switched off some switches and changed some fields in the client settings. Then you go to another page. What has happened?

7. Finance complains that new orders are marked ready to invoice before anyone has checked them. Which setting do you look at?

You are not signed in, so the result is not saved.

Trainer notesOnly shown when trainer mode is on
  • At onboarding: set the invoice start number, KID and export format together with the customer's accountant before the first invoice run.
  • The setting “New order default ready to invoice” explains many questions about why orders are or aren't ready to invoice.
