Goals and why

What you will learn

  • add a web booker on the customer card
  • send the login to the booker by email
  • decide what each booker can see and do, for example prices and invoices
  • remove the access when a person at the customer leaves

The customer web is the website where the customer enters their own orders. You then don't have to type them in from email and phone. The orders go straight into the TMS, with the customer as orderer and payer.

Access is given per person at the customer. Every contact you add under Customer contacts / Customerweb bookers gets their own login. The email address is the username. That is why the email must be right. Give each booker only the rights they need.

Key terms

Web bookerA contact person at the customer who can log in to the customer web and enter orders for the customer.
Email/usernameThe email address is the username in the customer web. One person can be a booker for several customers with the same email.
Send email with login infoWhen set to Yes, the booker gets an email with username, password and the customer web address.
Customer contact settingsThe rights of one booker: reports, deviations, invoices, files, prices and change of order payer.
Web order formsThe booking forms the customer has access to in the customer web. Without a form the booker can't enter orders.

All correct completes the lesson
Answer all correctly to complete the lesson You see which answers are wrong, and you can try as many times as you like. This lesson counts towards the level 3 badge in Dispatcher: 0 of 4 complete.
1. What does the booker use as username in the customer web?

2. You added a new booker with Send email with login info = No. The booker calls and doesn't know the password. What is the solution?

3. A booker logs in but is told there are no order forms. What is missing?

4. The customer wants an employee who has left to no longer be able to book for them. What do you do?

5. You removed Per from customer A with the trash can. Now someone says Per can still log in to the customer web. What is the most likely reason?

6. You turned on View invoices for the customer's finance manager. She still sees no invoices in the customer web. What is missing?

7. A new booker logs in and gets a credit application form instead of the order forms. What is the reason?

You are not signed in, so the result is not saved.

Trainer notesOnly shown when trainer mode is on
  • The section and the customer web require module 28 (Customer web). The customer must also have Is creditcustomer switched on, otherwise the booker gets a credit application form instead of the order forms.
  • Every contact saved here gets a login with a random password. There is no such thing as a contact without a login in this section. The default rights for new bookers are set in the client settings, on the customer web tab (Default user settings).
  • Common support case: "the booker can still log in". The trash can only removes the link to one customer. If the person is linked to several customers, they still have access to the others. The report Registered customer contacts shows all links.
